Description
CINECA, Italy’s national supercomputing centre, hosts Leonardo, a EuroHPC pre-exascale system ranked among the world’s top 10. Building on this foundation, CINECA will acquire the IT4LIA AI-optimised supercomputer to strengthen the European AI and HPC ecosystem.
The new system will provide large-scale capabilities for AI model training, fine-tuning, inference, and reasoning, as well as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model optimisation, and multi-agent simulations.
The IT4LIA system will serve as the computational backbone of the Italian AI Factory, offering secure, high-performance resources for scientific, industrial, and public users.
The estimated total value of the call is EUR 290,000,000, with the deadline for submission of tenders set for 10 November 2025, 16:00 (CET).
