Press Releases

The High-Performance Computing and Quantum Simulator hybrid (HPCQS) project has reached a major milestone with the inauguration of two quantum processors, Jade and Ruby, respectively situated in Germany (FZJ) and France (CEA).

QEX (QUantum EXcellence), funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), is a Quantum Excellence Centre that aims to foster the development of quantum technologies and strengthen Europe's leadership in quantum computing.

Following the completion of its official association to Horizon Europe and Digital Europe Programme, Switzerland became today the 38th participating state of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, returning to the initiative it originally joined in 2019.

Today marks the launch of the HPC in Europe Portal, a centralised platform that unites EU-funded high-performance computing (HPC) resources, services, and expertise in one place.

The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has launched a new call for proposals to strengthen Europe’s leadership in quantum computing technologies and accelerate the development of industrial-scale quantum computing platforms.

The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking has selected 13 AI Factory Antennas to complement existing AI Factories. This step will strengthen national AI ecosystems and extend access to AI-optimised supercomputing resources across Europe.

A hosting agreement has been signed between the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and the University of Galway, where CASPIr, a new world-class mid-range EuroHPC supercomputer, will be located.

The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has selected six new sites to host additional European AI Factories, set to be deployed next year across Europe: in Czechia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Spain.

39 students completing the EuroHPC JU-funded Master in High Performance Computing celebrate their achievement today, highlighting Europe’s efforts to equip the next generation with the skills to drive future digital and technological excellence.
