Governing Board

The Governing Board is composed of representatives of the EU and Participating States. The Commission and each Participating State appoint one representative to the Governing Board. Each representative may be accompanied by one expert.

The Governing Board is responsible for strategic policy making and funding decisions related to the activities of the Joint Undertaking, including all the public procurement activities.

Executive Director

The Executive Director is the legal representative of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. He is the chief executive responsible for day-to-day management of the Joint Undertaking in accordance with the decisions of the Governing Board.

Industrial and Scientific Advisory Board 

The Industrial and Scientific Advisory Board consists of the Research and Innovation Advisory Group (RIAG), the Infrastructure Advisory Group (INFRAG) and the Quantum Technologies Advisory Group (QTAG) and includes representatives of academia and industry as users and technology suppliers.

It provides independent advice to the Governing Board on the strategic research and innovation agenda and on the acquisition and operation of the supercomputers, quantum computers and AI factories owned by the Joint Undertaking. It contributes also to the capability building, the widening activities programme, the federation, the connectivity and international cooperation activities programme.

User Forum Coordination Group

The User Forum Coordination Group (UFCG) was established to strengthen communication between EuroHPC JU and its user communities. The UFCG was formed with support from EuroHPC JU’s advisory groups and endorsed by its Governing Board. Comprising volunteers from across the user community, the committee first met at the 2024 User Day in Amsterdam. The User Forum Coordination Group provides regular, constructive feedback to EuroHPC JU and participates in key EuroHPC JU events such as the annual EuroHPC Summit and User Days.

Access Resource Committee

The Access Resource Committee (ARC) is a EuroHPC JU working group supporting the implementation of the EuroHPC Access Policy and the allocation of the Union’s share of access time to EuroHPC supercomputers, AI Factories and quantum computers. Composed of highly qualified experts in high-performance computing acting independently, the ARC supports EuroHPC JU in the preparation and scope of access calls, the allocation of experts to applications, the prioritisation of proposals and the allocation of access time to EuroHPC systems. The ARC covers a broad range of scientific domains and ensures representation from academia, industry and the public sector and completes the family of EuroHPC advisory bodies which are INFRAG, RIAG and QTAG, the EuroHPC User Forum and its Coordination Group.
