Description

As Hosting Entity, CINECA will host and operate the industrial-grade supercomputer at the DAMA Tecnopolo, reinforcing the role of the site as a strategic European hub for advanced computing infrastructure. 

As the first EuroHPC system of its kind dedicated to industrial applications, INNOVATE represents a significant step forward in Europe’s ability to support secure, high-value computational workloads across a broad range of sectors.  

The system will be managed by the INNOVATE Consortium, bringing together expertise from across Italy’s industrial and innovation ecosystem. The consortium includes Almawave S.p.A., Autostrade per l’Italia S.p.A., BI-REX - Big Data Innovation & Research Excellence, Fondazione ICSC – Italian Research Center on High Performance Computing, Big Data and Quantum Computing, Fondazione IFAB – International Foundation Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Human Development, SNAM S.p.A. and Unipol Assicurazioni S.p.A., under the coordination of Fondazione ICSC, as representative of the private parties, and CINECA as Hosting Entity, which coordinated the design phase according to the industrial needs and will manage the system for the Consortium.
