Description

CASPIr (Computation Analysis and Simulation Platform for Ireland) will be a mid-range EuroHPC supercomputer hosted in Ireland and integrated into the wider European supercomputing ecosystem.

The system will be jointly owned by the University of Galway and EuroHPC JU and operated by the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC), supporting both the National Advanced Computing Service for Ireland and EuroHPC Access Calls.

It will be deployed in a secure co-location data centre facility in Ireland and is expected to deliver over 15 petaflops of computing performance, enabling advanced AI, machine learning, simulation and data-intensive workloads.

This system will:

  • Provide a data-centric, modular computing environment for complex workflows
  • Deliver a secure, reliable production platform for academia, public sector and SMEs
  • Enable training and skills development in HPC, AI and data processing, with pathways to larger EuroHPC systems

The estimated total value for the call is EUR 25 000 000,00 EUR. The closing date of the call is set for 5 May 2026, 12:00 CET.
