The LUMI AI Factory is a pioneering, open AI ecosystem that seamlessly integrates world-class computing power, high-value data, and top-tier AI talent. This accessible service infrastructure empowers AI start-ups, SMEs, researchers, and other public and private users to develop innovative European AI models and applications. Building on the established LUMI ecosystem and expanding it with new AI-focused features, this will create a thriving AI community that transcends borders and sectors.  The LUMI AI Factory is a catalyst for accelerating Europe's digital transformation, driving innovation, growth, and competitiveness in the global AI landscape, while reducing dependencies and ensuring that AI development remains ethical, safe and trustworthy. 

HammerHAI is located at the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart. It is a one-stop shop for AI users, focusing primarily on start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large industrial companies, and supporting academic institutions and the public sector. HammerHAI guarantee the secure and trustworthy deployment of AI models that meet European regulations. With a strong focus on supporting start-ups, SMEs and industry, HammerHAI will offer services explicitly tailored (but not exclusively) to the engineering, automotive, and manufacturing sectors and cater to research needs to address the specific challenges in each sector and beyond.

L-AIF is powered by our supercomputer, MeluXina, ranks among the topmost used by start-ups and SMEs due to Luxembourg’s unique focus on offering a highly secure and trusted infrastructure and technical and regulatory expert services including strong support for onboarding companies. Equipped with over 2100 GPU-AI accelerators, the AI-optimised supercomputer, “MeluXina-AI”, will deliver the multi-exaflopic AI computational power needed to train and fine-tune specialised and optimised AI models.

Pharos is located in Greece and capitalises on the pre-exascale EuroHPC supercomputer, DAEDALUS. With an experienced and strategically chosen consortium led by GRNET and partners like NCSRD, NTUA, and HCAP, Pharos provides resources and tools to various end-users, focusing on startups and SMEs. 

The MIMER AI Factory is inspired by the myth of the Well of Mimer as a source of wisdom, the AI Factory will serve as a collaborative hub, providing seamless access to AI-optimized supercomputing resources and promoting innovation in critical sectors such as life sciences, materials science, autonomous systems, and the gaming industry. MIMER is a one stop-shop, where industrial users can access AI “on tap”. 

The BSC AI Factory provides a comprehensive set of AI-oriented services, complemented with strong training, networking, and hub facilities to boost the use of AI by industry with a special emphasis on SMEs and start-ups based in the four participating countries. It is also at the service of the European innovation community, designed specifically to meet Europe’s evolving AI needs.  The BSC AI Factory is integrated with the EuroHPC JU MareNostrum5 supercomputer exploiting powerful AI-oriented computing technologies.

The Italian AI Factory, IT4LIA, is a strategic initiative aimed at transforming the national and European AI landscape through advanced supercomputing infrastructure and a comprehensive portfolio of services. It leverages the EuroHPC Leonardo supercomputer and the forthcoming AI-optimized system at the Bologna Tecnopolo, a hub for supercomputing, big data, AI, and quantum technologies.
